Published in a dutch magazine!

For a dutch magazine called Hobby journaal, I've made 3 christmas cards, The magazine is out now, so I can show you my creations. Ofcoursse I've been using new stamps from the Jingle bells & Tinkle bells range, these are so beautifull!

I grant you one wish:

I couldn't resist making a vintage card with this beauty.
Papers are from Maja design,Gammaldags Jul.I;ve put lots of lace, ribbon, roses
on it and the ticket wish was just perfect.

I;ve colored her with copics markers.

The tag you can pull out and write a personal note on it.

This is a card that took some time to finish it.. this stamp 'Wish upon a star' is my favorite from this range.

Again colored with copics (pff the red colors are sooo diffucult in copics!)

And I know you are thinking now,, again a tag..Yess, they are so nice to make, you can put so many things on it and with this little gorgeous fairy it was so easy!
This one I;ve colored with prisma pencisl and I've used many tim Holtz things.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this and for more details you can read my blog.

Enjoy your weekend,

Hugs Tiets xx

Je kunt voor meer info muijn blog lezen of natuurlijk het Hobby Journaal kopen!

Fijn weekend hoor,

Summer Breeze...

...makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind.

Good Morning Sugar Babes!

The current challenge over on the Sugar Bowl has a sketch to follow, as always, and the optional theme of Autumn. Which was a very relevant theme this time last week but I think Mother Nature has got her seasons mixed up, it's been verging on the tropical this week in my part of the UK! Clear skies, glorious sunshine and temperatures that we don't see enough of. I'm sure it won't be long before Autumn appears once more but it is so nice to feel the sunshine warm your face.

It's my day to delve into the Sugar Bowl and pick out a few cards that catch my eye.

The first card entered into the challenge uses one of the new Jingle Bells and Tinkle Bells stamps called Wish Upon A Star and was made a lovely lady from Idaho called Patty. I am very lucky to count Patty as a dear friend and she really is as sweet as Cherry Pie! This card is a perfect example that these images are not just for Christmas as she makes a beautiful Fall Fairy too.

Another stamp from the latest release but this time a Pip...Apple Pip has been fabulously coloured and brought to life by Louise. I think this is such a gorgeous card. The colours are so pretty and Louise has the perfect balance of embellishments to compliment the image.

Both of these cards show images from the latest releases so next up is...

..an older image. I know we all love to get our inky mitts on new stamps, but I still love the older images, the ones that got me addicted!
I can't believe that the Diane Duda stamp called Believe was first showcased more than two years ago! All these rubber babies stand the test of time and are as gorgeous today as they were 2 years ago, as seen above in Tracey's beautiful and detailed card.

Sugar Addicts come from all over the globe, in varying sizes, shapes, Nationalities and ages and this next card is from a Mini Addict.

I gave a little round of applause for this Sugar Bowl entry from Amanda Hatloy - the 6 year old daughter of Maria (DT coordinator of the Simply Sassy blog).  It's always so nice to see entries off younger crafters..better watch out Maria, she'll be 'borrowing' all your crafty stash soon! Amanda used Manga Fairy for her ever so pretty card.

Tiets will be here tomorrow to show one of her delicious cards or projects so please drop in again. This door is always open to all our lovely addicts.

Thanks for looking

Warm Winter Wishes just for you!

LinkGood Morning Everyone! I hope you are well! I am so excited and a little bit nervous today as I (Jane) am posting for the first time on the Sugar Nellie blog since joining the Design Team. I have a card to share with you today which I made using the adorable 'Warm Winter Wishes' stamp which was released this month.

I had so much fun colouring the image with my Promarkers. I coloured the scarf to match the lovely Prima North Country papers and embellished with lots of glitter and die cut snowflakes in my favourite Kraft card and I couldn't resist adding some gorgeous buttons tied with string. I love using non traditional colours for Christmas cards and the combination of brown, red and aqua is one of my current favourites. The sentiment is a Paper Make Up stamp.

Here is a close up of my image. I coloured the penguins using Burnt Umber and various shades of Warm Grey promarkers to create depth. I coloured the lighter fur by using the two lightest shades of Warm Grey and blending them into the white with the Blender Pen. The blue colour is a blend of Turquoise, Duck Egg Blue and Aqua. Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card, you can find more details about my card on my blog. Have a lovely Wednesday!

Posy Pip...and her Sunflower...

Happy Monday, my Sugar lovin' friends!! I am beyond excited to have been invited to join the Sugar Nellie Design Team!! What an honor to hang out with such a talented group of ladies! And...with all the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps and digi images, well, you can imagine...I said "yes" in less than a nano-second! hehehe!!

Now...for my Sugar Nellie DT "debut", I decided to ink up my new little "Posy Pip stamp" from the Home Grown Collection of Sugar Nellie stamps...

Hmmmm...and I also decided that little "Posy" would be holding a SUNFLOWER! I think that's called artistic license, right? hehehe! And... I thought it would be fun to make one of my fave twisted easel cards to really showcase little Miss Posy!

I must tell you, my lovelies, this little cutie patootie was pure joy to color!! Isn't she adorable? I just love her sweet little face under that amazingly lush head of hair and huge hairbow!! Oh...and ya just gotta love those big ol' feet! Toooooo cute!! Here's one more, sort of "artsy" angle...

If you'd like more details on this little card, please come on over to my bloggity blog HERE...I do so love visitors!!

Now...if you love "Posy Pip" as much as I do, you'll definitely want to pop on over to Funky Kits where you'll find "Posy" and the rest of the adorable "Sherbet Pips"...not to mention about a kabillion other fabulous Sugar Nellie stamps and digi images!!

OK...that's it for me, my lovelies! Be sure to stop back tomorrow when the very sweet and super talented Mina will be sharing one of her delicious creations with us!!

Sweet hugs...
Pat

Sugar Nellie DT Showcase Sunday.

Good Morning Sugar Addicts.

We thought it might be a nice idea to introduce the new members of the DT by doing a showcase on each of them.
This week, please give a warm welcome to Jennifer.

I live in Des Moines, Iowa, USA with my husband Patrick, our 2 kids, Caleb 7, and Bailey 20 months and our little weiner dog, Lilly. I am a cardiology nurse and use cardmaking to unwind after a crazy day. I love to color with my Copics, although I am definitely still learning! Besides crafting, I love watching football, being outdoors, and helping out with the youth group at our church. I am so excited to be on the Sugar Nellie Design Team! Thanks for the opportunity!

What a cute photograph of Jennifer and Bailey!

And this is the beautiful card that Jennifer sent for me to show today, using the Gorgeous Girl image Little Miss Attitude.

A fabulous card using another Gorgeous Girl, I love the blue/pink colour combo against the black cardstock, very pretty indeed.

This one uses the image Bear Hug. Fab colouring from Jenn..I love how her dress has been coloured with the two shades.
Please pop over to Jenn's blog and say hi and welcome her aboard HMS Sugar.

Tomorrow will be a card off another of our new DT members Pat so I can guarantee you'll be in for a treat.
Thanks for looking.

peek-a-boo

The image I have used is called PEEK-A-BOO and is a home grown image from Sugar Nellie, available now from Funky Kits

Isn't she sweet, the colours I used were quite strong so I kept the design very simple. I love the see through Balloons, and the shy little kitty, peek around too!! I'd also love to receive that present. It looks BIG!!

Through Autumn's Golden Gown...

...We used to kick our way,
You always loved this time of year.

Today's song lyrics were most famously recorded by Justin Hayward for the musical version of The War of The Worlds, with the song title Forever Autumn. Yes, I'm rambling but the theme for the new challenge over on the Sugar Bowl is Autumn and this just popped into my head. Songs often just pop into my head which is bad news for anyone around me as I can't sing at all..but frequently do!

Get back to planet Earth Elaine....for this challenge there is a fab sketch from Kiki and the option that I've already mentioned of Autumn. The Sweeties have come up trumps again with the most beautiful selection of cards to provide you with a little inspiration.

Kiki's card uses a beautiful image from the Autumn Kit (a set of 4 image stamps and 4 accessory stamps which is available at a special price too) Kiki always embellishes her cards so prettily.

I am always in awe of Lilian's stunning colouring..that woman could bring a grain of sand to life with her Copic colouring skills! And she makes me turn a very unflattering shade of green.
Lilian has used the Sassy image Hippie Chick.

My Sugar Ma'am Gayle has used the very sweet stamp Hello Little Friend for her gorgeous card. I do love this image, so much so, that I chose to use this stamp too...great minds think alike (or fools seldom differ eh?)

You can see the sketch and all the other sweeties cards over on the Sugar Bowl Blog.
As always there is a very sweet prize for one lucky random winner of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps of the winners choosing..this will be increased to 6 stamps if we get 100+ entries and the challenge is open for two weeks so there's plenty of time to get your entry in.
Tomorrows post will be by another of the newly appointed Sugar Nellie DT members, the very lovely and fabulously talented Astrid so please drop by and say hi.

Thanks for looking

PS from Karen

Hi girls, hope everyone is well in Blog land and you are all busy with your seasonal cards, I love Halloween but it's not so big her in the UK but does that stop me, no! Maybe it's the witch in me that enjoys the season so much, or is it my sweet tooth, all that candy, what else does a girl need. oh yeah CAKE!
I am still here, working away behind the scene, the new girls are doing such a great job of showing you their sweet creations, I doubt you miss me and my blethering. Got lots of new artwork to work my way through to feed your sugar addiction. Jingle bells and tinkle bells have been so popular that I had to order more as Mark has sold out of some of those, with Fairy Glen being released in October, and our final release of the year in November (country cousins and Puppy Love) I am kept going.
The store has been busy this month with classes back to back last Saturday, busy day all round and I found myself back at the counter running around like a headless chicken not knowing where anything was. Oh the fun of the Christmas season, just as well I had left my Mrs Clause outfit at home, I am sure I will need it very soon as its only going to get busier.
Erika is back in store with Jenny on 1st of October, spellbinders deals and embossing folder fun, what more could a crafter ask for?
Ok I will stop for now as I am sure that I can find something more to do today, maybe a little colouring in of the new images, but then again the DT are making a fantastic job and they put me to shame :(
catch you again, be good and keep colouring
Karen

Sugar Addicts Showcase Sunday.

Good Morning Sugar Addicts.

I have the most lovely and talented lady to put in the spotlight today and this crafter most definitely has a Sugar addiction...

Hi, I am  Nic or Coops as I`m known as in blogland. I've been with my long suffering husband for 22 years and am a proud mum of a 7 year old boy and I work part time in retail.
I have always enjoyed all things arty since I was a child and I got into cardmaking about 5 years ago when I was out of work. I started blogging almost 2 years ago and it really opened my eyes to the vast array of yummy products to play with, especially Sugar Nellie stamps.
I am a HUGE Simply Sassy fan as anyone who visits my blog will see and I also enjoy using strong colours in my colouring and papers.
Thank you so much Elaine for asking to showcase my cards.I am so honoured and still can`t quite believe it.

And this is the beautiful and and bright card Nic sent for me to show you today. This image is of course a Sassy and called Retail Therapy, perfectly coloured and I love these zingy colours!
Of course I know you need to see more than one card, so I had a good time picking out my favourite ones to show you from her blog.

A gorgeously pink and pretty card, perfect for a special delivery, using the Home Grown image Cute and Cuddly

Old Saint Nick is the image this time..someones getting ahead with their Christmas cards! Doesn't he look awesome coloured in these sepia tones? I think this is one really fab card.

On the theme of Christmas I had to show this Sassy card using the stamp All Wrapped Up. I love all the tones of green and the bunting with little snowflakes on it.

A very pretty and girly card made with Cherry Pip
Nic, you have managed to combine 3 of Gayle's addictions all on the one card..Sugar Nellie, gingham AND cherries!!

And finally, since I'm picking the cards to show then I had to show this one too! Blues, browns and Butterfly Girl all go together to create the perfect card in my eyes.

Please pop on over to Nics blog and say hi. Make a cuppa first as you may be there for a long while! There are so many gorgeous cards to see. It took me ages to narrow down the ones to show here today to just a few!

Tomorrow we have a post from one of the new dt members. I hope you will all come back here and show some of your warm, inky love and support to Vicky.

Thanks for looking.
Love Elaine xx

A Versatile Stamp!!

Jingle Bells, Tinkle Bells...

Good Morning Sugar Lovers!

I think you must all love the new stamps from the Jingle Bells and Tinkle Bells range of images. I have seen plenty of beautiful cards in blogland made with these gorgeous stamps, and also entered into the Sugar Bowl challenge.

This beautiful card using the image Crystal Flakes is Carol's entry into the Sugar Bowl.  This is a fabulous Christmas card using my favourite colour too.

The same image but this time made by the lovely Debby. Another gorgeous card and such pretty colours. Debby is the queen of decoupaging her stamped images and bringing them to life with added dimension.

What a stunner!! This delightful card was made by one of our new DT girlies, Marianne. Awesome colouring and I love the crochet around the framed image, really pretty. Marianne's card has a more vintage feel to it.

Another card using the same image, Knitted with love, but this time from DT member Jane.
Jane has chosen a much brighter colour scheme for her beautiful card, giving it a much more modern feeling, equally as gorgeous.

There's almost a week left to get a card or project made and entered into the Sugar Bowl challenge, with a fabulous prize on offer as always.
Don't miss tomorrows post...it's Tiets turn to be here and you know she always has something amazing to show!

Thanks for looking.
