Our lil Gorjuss girl is famous!!!

Well, i just had to show you all this gorjuss creation from Tiets!!! I was sooo thrilled to read that she had some cards published in a new magazine out in Holland called "Hobbyzine", when i saw that one of her cards featured one of our Gorjuss girlies i haaaad to share it with you here!!

Here is the card all closed up ...

and here it is again open ..

I just love the different shape this card has, it can be oh toooo easy to start with a square base on a card, its great to see something a little different isnt it - you DEFINATELY couldn't get a card like this in the shops :)

If you have made any shaped cards lately - or something a little different I would love it if you could share the link in the comments section. Im always on the look out for something a little different!!!!

Well another Tuesday sees yet another fabulous crafter in the Sugar Nellie Spotlight!! I just adore having the spotlight on the blog - there is soo much sweet inspiration out there, its fab sharing it with you all!!!!

Today we see Andie in the Sugar Nellie spotlight, I am sure you will agree that her cards are all AWESOME!!!! I looooved every minute i spent on her blog and i know she would LOVE it if you would pop over and leave her some love!! You can go check out Andies blog here , http://andiesspace.blogspot.com/. You will not regret it i promise!! Before i share some of her stunning work with you here is a little bit of info about her ....

I'm a 30 something married mother of 2 darling little troublemakers, Jack & Ben. My passions are scrapbooking & cardmaking. Having long admired & been inspired by other blogs, my New Years resolution for 2009 is to create my own blog & join in all the fun! Well, i am certainly glad that she did start a blog - her cards are all STUNNING ... take a peek yourself!! I have tried to pick a selection of Andies cards that feature images from different Sugar Nellie ranges to give you a nice mix ...

I love the vintage effect that Andie has created with this stunning card, the distressed edges of the papers along with the lace and that ticket compliment the image beautifully!! Such fabulous colouring too, beautifull Andie!!

I loooove this card. The bright colours seem to match the troublesome twosome perfectly!! How cool is that glitter heart too!! It is just the perfect finishing touch to the card!!!!!

I know a lot of crafters out there struggle with cards for men and boys, so as soon as i spotted this little stunner i just knew that i had to share it with you!! Its perfect!!! I love this Mary Hall stamp, its just the right level of cuteness to be acceptable for a boy!!

This is one of my favoutite of her cards to share. I think the colouring is just AWESOME!! I looove the contrasts that she has managed to achieve!!! Some excellent shading going on with this little creation!! When your colouring is as awesome as this, you dont really need a great deal else to make a stunning card, this simple layout compliments it beautifully!!

Thank you soo much for agreeing to be in the Sugar Nellie Spotlight this week Andie. I have loved sharing your creations on the blog and I am sure you will bring sweet inspiration to lots of bloggers out there!!! Dont forget to go check out Andies blog here - its fab!!!

Fun at the circus!!

We have a mini circus staying near where i live at the moment, so today as a treat for the little ones my Mum and Sister took them to see it - i secretly think it was a treat for me too as i got a few hours peace and quiet!!!!

The new Diane Duda images really remind me of clowns, so I thought it right to share this sweet little creation from Donalda with you today.

What a scrummy looking cake - lets just hope she doesnt throw it in true clown fashion!!! LOL

Tonight is the last night you can enter the challenge over at the Sugar Bowl, there will be a brand new one starting tomorrow - you can go there by clicking the tab at the top of the blog - pick and mix prize being offered - you know you wanna!!

One last thing ........

I looooove doing the Sugar Nellie Spotlight, its fab and soo lovely to get to share your creations with everyone - im having big problems doing it though!! I keep finding fabby blogs, but they dont have email addresses on them, or the ones that do i email and get no response .. sooooo I am going to try something a little different.

If you would like to be featured in the Sugar Nellie Spotlight, will you please email me at :
zoe_stupples@yahoo.co.uk with Sugar Nellie Spotlight as the message heading. I can then keep a list of all the people that are interested and work from there!!!

Well, i shall leave you to make your last minute sugar bowl cards and i will be back tomorrow with some info on the new challenge :)

BBC 2 Lambing live

For those of you who are watching lambing live at 8pm every night this week, here we have Hamish feeding a pet lamb the perfect stamp for this time of year.

As a farmers wife today I was called upon today to squeeze into a boiler suit and wellies ( those of you who know me are now rolling around laughing) and help DH stitch up a prolapsed ewe, I bet we don't see that on BBC2 anytime this week! Its funny how the family sit glued to that when its going on outside for real, maybe that's why "fly on the wall" programmes are successful., you don't get covered in goo inside!

I hope the sun is shining where ever you are and when you see those fluffy spring lambs in the fields know that its not always clean and fluffy;)

Diane Duda Digi Fairies

Last time i showed you some Diane Duda inspiration it was a little something for the boys, time i shared some DT creations using the girlie images i think!! So today i have some Diane Duda by Dena and Donalda - try saying that quickly :p

How fabulous is this lil card from Dena, she has used Kitchen Fairy on her creation. I love the way she has used themed papers in the background - check out that chocolate chip cookie i can spy on the paper in the bottom corner!!! Such a gorgeous card I'm sure you will all agree.

I just love this card made by the looovely Donalda, the colours are sooo sweet, perfect for this cute little image - it just screaaaams spring to me :) Donalda used Flower Fairy on this card, you can go get her from Funky Kits for just £2 and being a digital image you can get colouring her straight away!!!

Well there is a little taste of the Diane Duda girlie digi stamps. Arent they fabulous - something a little different to the other cute images out there on the market. The design team are loving them at the moment!!!!

Confessions of a craft shopper

Its a big weekend for craft shopping in Scotland, with the twice a year show at Glasgow SECC there are many crafty shoppers about. I had planned the trip down to Glasgow, especially keen to catch up with Gayle from the sugar bowl and baby Maya, but its not to be.

So today I hitched a lift from DH and went to Aberdeenshire, first stop the paper mill where I bumped into Fiona one of our loyal sugar addicts, then off to see my good friend Jacqui in Alford to stock up on yummy SEI 12" papers and Stamping Bella's. Last stop at Funkykits where Mark was flashing his stash of new stamps from USA, I could not resist the new set from Greeting Farm (O Happy Day)
and as I am totally useless at resisting a bargain I had to have the big bumper Spring kit from CC Designs.

As DH sat in the car peeping the horn (yes we all know its best to leave men at home when shopping) as sure sign that my time was up and my day was over.
Now I have all weekend to play with my new stash and I am sure that you too could have a little crafty time this weekend. Tonight I have to work on some Easter makes for my kids school and tomorrow I have to host a little dinner party with friends before lambing gets into full swing and I don't see DH until it ends. *rolls eyes*

Have a great weeked girls and for those of you who did get to the SECC, what did you buy?
Karen
