Leanne Ellis candy #3

Morning sugar babes, leaving to drive to Glasgow soon, just have to some house work before disappearing for a few days and leaving DH with the kids.

I will leave you with the third one from this set of six beautiful arty stamps by Leanne Ellis due for release in November.
Mermaids is some thing we have not done before and I wonder what ideas you can come up with for a verse to go with this delightful design, mermaids, sea and shells. I will get my brain in tune while I drive, 4 hrs should be enough thinking time.
If you are so kind to take the time to leave me a comment, I will show my appreciation to those who listen to my mutterings and give one of you this stamp to test out. You know the drill, leave me a little sugar and I will feed you candy :)

How are you all getting on with your SIMPLY SASSY's, this is a loaded question as you know I am going to offer up that amazing prize of the Spellbinder Grand before Christmas. I have more SIMPLY SASSY stamps being released at the beginning of the month and the third set has already been completed.

Variety is the spice of life and here at SUGAR NELLIE we like to shake it up a bit and offer you lots of different artist with clearly different styles. Some sugar addicts collect ranges by artist other just pick and mix. As the valued customer the choice is yours but as we look back at all the artist we have launched into the stamp world in the last three years, I am amazed at the talent that is out there, much of it still to be discovered.
The changes in the choice you have is tremendous, at one point there were only a few stamp companies specialising in cute kids but now I can not even begin to count all the different companies and artist out there.
With so much choice available we appreciate your loyalty to our wee Scottish company and hope to work extra hard over the next few months to bring you more sugar, just the way you like it :)

take care and for the girls who are going to SECC, I will catch up with you all on Thursday.
Karen

  2. Oh this stamp is soooooooooo sweet!!
And on to the Sassy's can't wait to see what's coming!! The first Sassy's arrived my mailbox in Norway Friday, that was a looooooong wait, a little over 2 weeks I think..especially when SN stamps sent the week before arrived in just a week.. So it varies a lot the shipping time.. And I've made one Sassy card. I'm sooooooooooo in love!!!

    Have fun on your trip!!

  9. Love these new stamps. Leanne Ellis is a fave though.

How about something like this for a sentiment "You give me an ocean of memories" as his gorgeous mermaid looks very contemplative like she's remembering stuff.

Can't wait to see all the stamps!

It is a long trip down here to Glasgow, take it easy ,remember to get coffee breaks!

The new stamps are excellent! Have you caught up with all your paperwork & new releases hunny?

Well I don't think anyone ever catches up on paperwork as paper does multiply!

But it is worth it in the long run as no matter how much paperwork there is, we know & appreciate you do it for us Sugar Addicts!

    See you there!

    Take care.have a safe journey!

  14. Blogger clearly doesn't want me to tell you that I just LOVE the new stamps. It was the best day of my life when I discovered that a local shop here in South Africa carries your stamps, but we still have to wait a LOOOONG time before they get here, so please take mercy on me!

  15. Fab image love the frame and all those bubbles too. Sentiments well how about the obvious of 'just swimming by to say hi' or 'sending you mermaid kisses and seashell kisses' or even just simply 'have a splish splashy birthday' Or ' wishing you a very bubbly birthday'

There are all kinds of watery themed wishes you could use. I do have a mermaid stamp but its a bit too cute for anyone over about 10 or perhaps younger in my opinion , this one looks more grown up so could be used for teenagers and older girls too. I think she would look great on bathroom tiles though not sure how you could do that or 3d or even made into a tile topper with ultra thick glaze or on a jar of bath salts as the frame almost makes a ready made up market label. Thanks for sharing and have a great time at the show in glasgow, wish I was there as it sounds real fun.

  24. Take care with the driving Karen. I'm about to embark on another Sassy but in the meantime my favourite of all your artists is definitely Leanne Ellis. I just love the art of them & there is a distinctiveness which electrifies my imagination. Thank you so much for your daily input too - it is much valued.

  43. I thought and thought of something for the mermaid to say....how about
"What happens on a fishing trip, stays on a fishing trip!" or
"I believe in mermaids!" or "You rock/float my boat" LOL
    Cute image!

  51. This is by far the best mermaid image I've seen. I haven't bought any before 'cos I think those around are either too cutesy or too sexy. Yuck to both!! But this is perfect, slightly otherworldly and mysterious. I'll be buying it. :o)
