Sugar Nellie Spotlight

Well, its Tuesday again - how quickly is time deciding to fly by!! Sooooo, you know what that means dont you - its time to let somebody shine in the Sugar Nellie Spotlight again - yippeeee!!

I wont drag it out this week I promise :p, today in the spotlight we have the lovely Helene aka Mummylade!!!!!

Before I share some of her gorgeous projects with you here, i will of course give you some info to feed your nosiness!!! Sooooo, this is what Helene has to say about herself ...

"I'm a mother of two and I work as a secondary school teacher. To time out from all theory at work I enjoy creating with my hands. I started crafting about two years ago and I think I have found my style just lately =).
Vintage and shabby chic is what is closest to my heart and I love folding boxes and altering stuff.

I cannot be without distress inks and I'm totally addicted to paper roses.
The first person to notice my work and take me under her wings were Susie Sugar - bless that wonderful woman - and today I design for Die Cut Dreams, Stampin' for the Weekend and Allsorts challenge. I still find that absolutely overwhelming.

There are so many fantastic crafters in the world and I'm so glad I started blogging cause I have learned so much and their comments bring such joy and I am proud to be a part of this community.

Hugs from Mummylade"

Now on to the projects!! I say projects and not cards because browsing Helenes blog i couldnt help but notice all of the gorgeous 3d work and gifts that she creates, so i decided i would share a selection of craft with you today instead of just cards - showing you just how versatile the Sugar Nellie stamps can be!!

Firstly i wanted to share this gorgeous little book mark. I love how Helene has masked the bottom of the image leaving a nice soft line printing only the top of the Elizabeth Bell cutie - and what better image to use on a bookmark than this!! I love the soft colours Helene has used when colouring, check out the way the white embossed image stands out too - love it sweetie!!

This next project uses one of my favourite Sugar Nellie stamps - the lovey Daisy. Here Helene has added her to a stunning pillow box. What a gorgeous little gift box - i know anyone would be pleased to receive this little baby - i love how the ribbon is slotted through the sides of the image, its sooo soft and girly!

The last project that i want to share with you is this stunning bottle topper. What a fabulous idea!!! How gorgeous would this be hooked over the neck of a loooovely bottle of bubbly - such a simple way to make a fantastic gift, and how beautifully has that image been coloured!

Now ... I couldn't do a Sugar Nellie spotlight without sharing cards could I!!!! I love the way that Helene has used die cut letters to add her sentiment, and the colour combination - chocolate with the rose pink is sooooo pretty!! Check out the flower embellishment in the corner too - a punched flower with a bloom and a paper rose - stunning!! Such a beautiful soft card Helene!!

I hope you like the creations i have chosen to share with you today!! Helene has a blog FULL of yummy creations so please do go and visit her if you get the chance. Thank you for letting me show you in the Sugar Nellie Spotlight Helene, it was a pleasure browsing through your blog looking for samples to share.
