What you doing?

Where does the week go, how are you all, busy with all your challenges I hope. It's hard to pull yourself away from the computer and actually do something rather than think about it, bunt since it's the weekend its a good time to relax with your pens and do a little colouring.

It clear to see that I have not been around as much, there are other things taking my time just for now but I thank Elaine for stepping in and doing a few post, thanks babe :).

Gayle and her sweeties do an amazing job with the sugar bowl, we sadly say goodbye to Pat as she is running out of hours in the day to do everything. We all wish her well and hope that she finds the time and enjoys the DT work and challenges she is part of.

Maria and her Sassy Girls DT have a very active and inspirational blog, lots going on over there so don't forget about it and they are having a blog hop at the start of April, check it out!

We did not find time in the day yesterday to do Marks Something for the weekend, we really should schedule that post in the week when we have time.

Jenny is teaching classes in the store today and I am covering for Kate who has a day off, so that's me off to work soon, sorting out beads and buttons all day.

How would you like a little candy, for those who really do read my blog and don't just surf the blogs for freebies (which could be a full time hobby these days), if you have read this far then you are a star and a true sugar addict. Leave me a comment, tell me what to you hope to achieve crafting wise this weekend ? .......
and I will send out a little sugar to keep two lucky addicts sweet.

Karen

That's really sweet of you Karen, I'm not working this weekend so I will be doing a little crafting but I really need to go tidy up the garden, so I'll be popping in and out between the two. Glad I'm not counting buttons, lol. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hi Karen. I read your posts every time but don't always comment. Apologies for that. I do get inspiration from them and Sugar Nellie stamps were one of the first I came across when I started trying cardmaking. This weekend I am hoping to make two Mothers Day cards and an altered tissue box and calendar to go with the cards. I am going to attempt this anyway but it may never turn out as I am still learning and the idea you have in your head never quite works out. Enjoy your weekend. Donna

What will I be doing this weekend? I have sewing to be getting on with which I find quite therapeutic once that is done then a few challenge cards I hope.

The week has disappeared midst umpteen phone calls tp AOL & BT & doing broadband speed tests - a week on still snailing along but snail's pace is better than none which it was at one point. A minor inconvenience in this world of earthquakes etc... As to crafting - aiming to ink up a Sassy & colour her - finally getting to grips with the hair & learn so much each time I do one so I persevere. Need to do some work on the new blog (am absconding from Blogger) that's sort of craft but computer too so not sure that counts. Does cooking husband's dinner count as craft??? It is by the time I've arranged the salad or vegetables by colour contrast on the plate!!
Loving the Sassy blog & Elaine's posts too - you're realling got a brillant team. Now ...... before I lose this essay............
Much love to Mark too - but don't tell his wife or my husband.

At the moment I'm attempting to colour some of my new Leanne Ellis Alice in Wonderland images... I decided to look online for some colour inspiration and I can only find one link to someone who has used this stamp! I know that can't be right! So I was wondering if it would be at all feasible to create galleries of cards using particular stamps? Perhaps it could be set up so people can link to it themselves so there's no extra work for Sugar Nellie staff?? Just a random thought. :-)

This is a hectic weekend for me. I have just stumbled back into the house after helping my baby girl move into her own place. Very emotional. Sad to let her go, but proud to witness her starting her own journey.
Not that grown up yet though, I am home with a mountain of washing that I have to take back to her tomorrow morning when dad goes to hang the last few pictures and curtains (In her defense the washing machine she bought was not delivered as promised!)
so, while the washing is going in the machine, I am hoping to finish a card for her.
Happy weekend for you and hopefully a more productive one than mine.

I'm thinking double presents as it's my birthday and Mother's day rolled into one. Hi Karen...thanks so much for being so sweet. I don't know if Gayle mentioned...I am opening a clinic for babies who were born prematurely and/or very sick...I'll follow their growth and development for up to 4 years of age...getting them early intervention services to help them meet their developmental milestones as normally as possible. The past couple of months have been crazy busy...and I was struggling to keep up. So, I had to make some very difficult decisions...and stepping down from the Sugar Bowl DT was one of those hard decisions. I'm hoping that things will settle down a bit at work and when that finally happens, Gayle told me she'd be willing to consider taking me back. I loved being a Sweetie...and Gayle and the other Sweeties are just the BEST!! I cherish all of my Sugar Nellie stamps! So...I really would love to come back at some point if I can. And until then, I hope to be able to enter some Sugar Bowl challenges! Thanks again...I appreciate your kind words.

Hello:

And yes the computer time is too much, I don't how it goes out of control, 20 minutes become three hours and nothing's done, that's why, we must try to craft before turning on the computer. So let's find a beautiful sweetie, some ink, colors and let's see what we can do, before we touch the keyboard...

I didn't get time to post over the weekend, it was soo hectic. My sister and her kids came down from Warrington for a visit which was lovely. The only downside was Friday afternoon, we had to go to the cemetery to bury my mum's ashes. It's nice to know I've got somewhere to go to 'visit' her on Mothers' day at least.

I also missed the deadline for the last challenge. I had my card all done and had taken the pic by Tuesday and decided to add it on Thursday as I thought it had another week to run. I was wrong lol! I seem to be getting very confused lately...see if I can get this challenge right!!
