a frog and an apple all in one day...

Good morning everyone its my turn, Mina, today to show you some sweetness...how are you all doing, did you have a fantastic weekend I hope so...go on let me know which of the Fairy Glens you bought then, could you resist...every one I use I thinks its my total favourite then I colour another one and there you go another favourite...I have a couple of cards to show you today...one of the new Fairy Glen release and another is a Sherbet Pip, so cute and I just love the hair on these little sweeties don't you....ok now onto my first this little sweetheart is called Pippi Longsocks, I have a thing about socks, I love colouring stripey socks so much they are brilliant for showing shading, I coloured her with Distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing Prima papers from the Madeline collection, the shaped one is from a sheet of four shapes (I used one for one of my blog hop cards too) called Beautima, I love this collection is so beautiful and feminine...I used a piece of another Prima paper for the oval and cut some of the tiny flowers out of the same sheet for decoration...my other card is showing the beautiful Apple Pip, I love those apples and for some weird reason I always colour my apples two tone green and red, I coloured her with Distress inks too but this time teamed her up with some Websters Pages papers, I haven't a clue which collection they are from as I have a few but they are in loose papers packs and always get mixed up, its a good thing they all match so beautifully isn't it...I used navy this time a colour I rarely use but I think it works beautifully with her don't you...I added some lace, a ribbon and a gorgeous heart charm to finish...well that's me for today, I'm having a crafting day today, whatever your up to have a wonderful day everyone

Thank you Mina your cards are lovely. I am totaly inspired to get my pens out and have a play.

Well there is no work for me today and as its the tattie holidays here in Scotland, traditionally the time when the children went into the field and hand picked the potatoes. With today's modern machinery there is no need for child labour, shame, my kids could do with a hard days graft and fresh air.

So I stupidly mentioned swimming (don't think I have been in a pool for about 3 years) I had better keep her busy or she might hold me to that!  I still have a load of rubber to cut and pack in the HOS but we all pitch in and it's done in no time ready to feed your sugar addiction.

For those of you who did not fly to sunnier climates this past weekend, I hope that the weather is not too bad  and you are able to get out and about with the children as the forecast is for a nasty winter. Best stock up now, make sure everyone has wellies and woolie hats. Some of my customers last year were snowed in for over a month! Food and heating oil, stick or coal and candles in case the power goes. Plenty of double sided sticky tape because I am sure you have enough patterned papers to see you through a few winters LOL.

That reminds me I need to get some of my copics refilled or I will be stuck when it comes to colouring in. I know how much more crafting I can get done when I have no Internet so just imagine if I was stuck at home for a MONTH!

stay warm and take care

Karen

O goodie two for the price of one - you do give us godd value Karen! So good to see (!) you again. Shall heed your warnings - Welsh Mountainside snow can be a bit tricky if you set foot outside; likely to find yourself sliding on your butt.

Love the colours you used for both Mina - especially that navy on the second & I do like your apples.

These are 2 gorgeous cards. Mina I like the way you have decoupaged that pretty paper and Karen I LOVE how you have used the charm as the center for that ribbon bow :D

Huge hugs

Fab cards Mina, both me thinks has a vintage feel something I'm hopeless at.Oh Karen haven't you learnt yet not to mention things to children they so latch on to the bits you'd rather they never heard lol. My son isn't on hols yet, a couple of weeks still till then and then hubby will be off too so I plan on putting them to work, but the best laid plans don't always work do they.
Fab hop at the weekend managed to sneak on the puter in between decorating, bit like now between decorating and son coming home but alas still jobs on my to do list including pasties for lunch boxes tomorrow ah well back to the grind stone.

Hoping it improves the rest of the week. Wanted a visit to HOS but don't think that's gonna happen! Maybe Friday.....if I'm a really good girl! Love the Fairy Glen release x
