SOS - a new face

Just lovely don't you agree, when a card is CAS (clean and simple) it shows of the image so much more. All your time is spent colouring not die cutting and most importantly, it's a card that can inspire people to try for the self.

This car was entered into our challenge
The Sugar Bowl - April Showers bring Mays Flowers
along with all these challenges
CAS on Sundays - Sparkle and Shimmer
4 Krafty Girls - Anything Goes

Now that's what I call great coverage on one card.
In entering other challenges you are sharing the love of your favourite stamps and I love it when you all go out into the Internet and share the sugar❤️.(we will come back to this soon)

We all now SN but there are many who have not yet discovered out wee scottish stamp company and the addition of so many digital stamps makes us accessible to everyone world wide in an instant. (Please read carefully how to collect your digital files from Funkykits.)

Back to this card, yellow is a hard colour to work with but this is beautiful and when Lynne entered it into THE SUGAR BOWL challenge, I bet she did not think that this card would lead to a three month guest spot on our Design Team.

Congratulations Lynne, we look forward to seeing your sweet Sugar Nellie creations.

If you want a sneak peek at Lynne's style pop over to her blog  http://handmadewithlovebylynne.blogspot.co.uk

A little bit of gossip is a stamp both rubber and digital which has proved to be one of your favourites, In fact the fairies are so popular I have asked the artist for more. Happy happy happy but just not so patient!

Now there will be a few craft hangovers in the UK today, there was a party yesterday that many lovers of cute stamps attended. Even Sugar Nellie Ex DT's had a get together, in hindsight a bus trip would have been a great idea as we share a lot of customers. Some one ask me to do something similar but the truth is, we are tiny! Most of you know me, well that's it! Only me, only a few hours a week, yes you don't get many companies as small as Sugar Nellie and with so many or our stamps now digital, I don't have anything to do as it's all automatic.

I just wish I could find several new artist to speed up the new releases, but I keep looking but I am real fussy, after all have I not picked some of thee biggest names in the stamp world, OK I fail to keep them very long as the lure of the bigger pay checks usually wins over but look back at our history and celebrate the great artists which were discovered after many hours of surfing.

I hope you enjoy your crafting or surfing time today, I have an endless amount of project needing attention that I will be lucky to see completion of even one thing this weekend. I defiantly suffer from pinterest syndrome, the unrealistic passion to copy everything !

Take care
Karen

Peek a Boo

Hello everyone :o)

Lisa here with my card for this week, using another super cute Sugar Nellie stamp...

This little lovely is called Peek a Boo, and you can find her HERE at Funky Kits.  I was trying to make the cat look like a dark brown Cornish Rex (owned by the little girl who is sending this card), but think I've managed to make him look a bit sinister instead lol!

Thanks for popping in... Hope you have a lovely day, and a fab weekend too :o)

Goosey Gander

Good morning Sugar fans....it's Wednesday and time for my scheduled post.

Now this stamp is called Goosey Gander from Sugar Nellie which is available here.  Now you always associate geese with Christmas but I think this stamp can be used anytime all year round...do you agree??

The papers are from Fancy Pants - Park Bench which I have to say are one of my favourites...I do love those colours!!  I layered the papers onto bazzill card and distressed the edges and doodled the edges...  I coloured the stamp with copics and then shaded with polychromos. The flower has been cut with one of my die-namics blue prints....these are just fab...you must check them out!!  I then added some teeny pearls to finish.

Hope you likey!!

Pop back tomorrow for more inspiration from the team!!

It's demo day in our store in Elgin today, the sun is shinning and the sky's are blue, not good crafting weather but let's not complain when the sun comes out in Scotland.

The class has started and they are busy making a canvas in the Eau de Nil, a stunning teal colour from the newest collection out from Do Crafts. Prices are fantastic with a 6" pad at £4 and 12" at £6.95, can't get better value than that! Pop along and support your local retailer I am sure that they would be delighted to see you.

That's all for me today as I am off to start work. Enjoy the bank holiday weekend and I hope you see so me sunshine.

Vintage Adorable - Alicia

Hello, Lisa here with a little CAS creation for today...

I've used one of the very pretty Vintage Adorable digi stamps - this one is called Alicia, and you can find her HERE at Funky Kits.  These images are great if you need a little guidance on where to add shading, as the darker areas are already there for you.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely day :o)

Candy Pip ---

Good morning everyone, Janine here, I hope you're all enjoying the start of the lovely spring weather -- I know I am :-)

Here's my card for this week and I thought I would let the gorgeous spring weather inspired me - so I thought I would go bright and cheery with a purple and lilac combo. So here's a little 5" x 5" card using a sweet Sugar Nellie stamp available from Funkykits. This little sweetie is called 'Candy Pip', isn't she a cutie. I stamped and coloured her in with my Copic pens 3 times, fussy cut her out and then layered her up.  All the other elements on my card have been die cut using Tonic and MFT Blueprint dies -- these were then mounted onto foam tape to give dimension and added to the card.  Full details can be found on my blog here.

We also have a monthly challenge over at the Sugar Bowl so why not join us - we'd love to see you. The theme for Challenge 115 is 'April Showers Bring May Flowers'. But remember to use your Sugar Nellie stamp.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Hugs
