Rabbits everywhere!

Hello lovely readers, hope you are all in good form today!

Schools are out for two weeks here in Scotland but a day trip away with friends to landmark left me on my own and back at work.

Yesterday I had a vist from Rachel at Rockie Loves Rosie who had a twin delivery for me but those are a secret.sssshhhh

Today was the turn of Janice, who used yo be local then moved down South.
Janice knits and was on holiday back here when she turned up at the house of sugar with a box of Easter goodies!

A box of naked bunnies! 😍
Can you tell I'm excited!

Two extra dressed up bunnies found their way into the box, it would have been a shame to send those two back to England by themselfs.

The last box of bunnies were all dressed and that was a few years ago now, but these are shivering in the cold NE winds, praying that I get on with the job and use some of my precious fabric stash to dress them up.

I have taken them home, (along with a fair collection of hand made lovelies which adorn my office.)
Next step is choosing the fabric, then the buttons, lace ribbon etc.

What am I going to do with them I hear you ask...... I ask myself the same question.
Remember Sindy?
Or were you a barbie girl?
A little dressing up is good fun.
That is the plan.

How's your plans coming on?
What's on you "to do list"?

Take care
Karen

Bags of Fashion - Morgan

Hello everyone :o)

Lisa here with my card for this week, using one of the fab Bags of Fashion stamps...

This one is called Morgan - much to my eldest son's disgust, as that's his name too lol.  You can find her HERE at Funky Kits, and I think she's perfect for teenage girls... I find them much trickier than the male cards most crafters seem to dread!

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely day :o)

Dreams & Wishes

Good morning everyone, Janine here!

Well today I have my official Sugar Nellie hat on....yes I've joined the fab SN team for a 3 month stint along with some of my other Sugary teamies.

Wow, I was so excited when Sugar Mama asked me....and feel really touched that she asked me. I'm going to be sharing my post with Pami and you'll see her card here next week. I'll still be posting my cards on The Sugar Bowl blog which is currently running the Easter/Springtime challenge so why not drop by and enter your card/project.

So here it is, my first official Sugar Nellie DT card, and I hope you like it.

I decided on the digi stamp from the Return To Fairy Glen Collection called 'Dreams & Wishes' from the Home Grown Digital section. because I think she's soooo sweet and pretty. I used Copics to colour the whole image, and can I say she was an absolute dream to colour.

I stamped the initial image and text directly onto my glittered paper using CraftArtist 2, and printed the image again onto Neenah cardstock which were coloured, cut out and layered up.  Full details can be found on my blog here.

I hope the weather is being kind wherever you are - so have a good one.

See you in a couple of weeks.

Big hugs.

Butterfly Girl...

Good morning Sugar fans....it's Wednesday I hear you say and this isn't The Sugar Bowl I hear you say....well that's right, the lovely Karen asked me if I would like to take a 3 month spot here on The Sugar Nellie blog...woo hoo!!  Well I obviously had to think about it for all of 2 seconds...lol!!

So for my first card I wanted to go plain and simple and to try to just focus on my colouring and Butterfly Girl is one of my favourite stamps.  She comes from the Simply Sassy range of Sugar Nellie over at Funky Kits.  I stamped using memento ink and coloured with copics, building up colour and then shaded with polychromos....I like using my pencils for the finishing touches as I can get a bit finer detail with them as sometimes the pens can bleed too much.

Now I found that embossing folder at the SECC which I had to have as I immediately thought of this stamp...so the make is Craft Concepts however I'm not sure where you can buy it...and it is just beautiful...I love embossing with white card, I think it looks so crisp and clean.

Again, I found those teeny weeny butterflies at the SECC, they come in the one die from Memory Box and are just so perfect not just with this stamp but lots of other stamps too...I just added a bit of colour to them, popped their wings up and stuck them down.

The embossed panel, image and sentiment are layered onto kraft card and I doodled around the edges...I think that helps to pop an image....do you like doodles as much as I do??

The message is from Stampin Up and I finished with some pearls in the corner....hope you likey.

Pop back tomorrow for more inspiration from the team!!

A little bit of gossip......

Hi Ladies

Christine here...  and today I have a card to share with you using the gorgeous 'A Little Bit of Gossip' which is available HERE.  I'm sure this fairy is telling that little ladybird all her little secrets...  and he's listening intently!

I've kept the card extremely simple - I just used a Li'l Inkers Stitched Square and placed the image to the right hand side.  She was coloured with Copics..  then her wings and the flower were fussy cut and added using foam pads, to give the 3D effect.  A little bit of twine and a bow - and she was finished.  Oooh and glitter of course - no self-respecting fairy would be seen without her sparkle!!

For more information, please pop over to my blog HERE.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by..
Have a lovely day..
